To commemorate the 80th anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day, XSProject organized a full day of fun games and competitions, filled with enthusiasm and joy for children from primary school through college.

Since morning, the place had been filled with cheerful and laughter. All children wore T-shirt with XSProject logo on it, took part in a variety of completions, such as sarong races, flag relays, flour relays and balloon tosses. Cheers from friends and parents added to the lively and festive atmosphere.
“It’s not about winning, but about togetherness, the spirit of mutual cooperation, and the joy shared by all. Event like this offer valuable opportunities to boost children’s self-confidence and foster positive social connections.”

“Today, in celebration of Indonesia’s Independence Day, we’re holding a competition for XSProject students, from elementary school to college level. All of these children receive educational support from XSProject,” said Nurlela, a staff member at XSProject.
Beyond the fun and games, we hope this event helps the children connect with one another, enhance their social skills, and build confidence in working together.

At the end of the event, all participants received simple gifts as a token of appreciation for their enthusiasm. For us, this is the true essence of independence—being able to laugh, play, and celebrate our nation’s special day together, freely and without limits.

For XSProject, the August 17th celebration is more than just a commemoration of independence – it is a reminder of the ongoing struggle, the hope, and the real change needed for communities that have long been marginalized.
This serves as a reminder that everyone, regardless of their background, has the right to freedom and the opportunity to contribute to a better future. We are deeply grateful to all the donors who made this event possible. May the spirit of independence continue to thrive in every small step we take toward a brighter tomorrow.
