We are approaching the end of another difficult year at XSProject, due to the pandemic followed by many unfortunate events that happened around the globe. All of us at XSProject continue to be grateful for the support and contribution to our social programs contributing to the education and growth of our children.
Our Kindergarten program is now on the third batch. The children who were in batch 1 have progressed to 2nd grade. We are preparing our batch 3 children so they can enter the 1st grade in the new term – July 2024. The teachers are learning more to create a good program and manage the funds wisely so that the program can continue sustainably.
This year, we have 13 students who are now in College. We have supported them since they were in primary school. It’s been over 7 years since we started giving children the opportunity to continue their education after graduating from high school/vocational school – there are already 6 who have graduated – all girls and 2 boys will also graduate this year.
Some students managed to gain high achievements in school beyond their studies. Sofi took part in martial arts (pencak silat) competitions in junior high school. Now she is continuing in vocational school and wants to take part in competitions at the provincial level. Syifa was active in high school – and was immediately accepted into university without exams due to her achievements at school. Our March report. These successes of the children inspire middle and high school students to continue studying and go to college.
This year, we added skills training for single mothers in the community to increase their income. One of them was Anita whom we taught to make handicrafts, Christmas ornaments, and other small item products and then we helped to sell them. Anita has made many products and they are selling well.

Showing and providing more opportunities and new experiences outside the world they are living in will give them more reasons to work hard in school and gain more knowledge.
