Since early morning, the atmosphere at the XSProject Foundation had felt different. The children and their parents were eagerly awaiting the arrival of the donors. Cheerful smiles and hopeful expressions were evident on the faces of the children, who had prepared themselves to welcome the guests with enthusiasm.
The group from Jakarta Mums Bubs Coffee Club was warmly welcomed by Retno Hapsari, Chair of the XSProject Foundation. In her opening remarks, Retno introduced XSProject’s profile, its educational programs, and the tangible impact of the educational assistance it has provided to children and families under its care.
Entering the main session of the event, donors were invited to meet and get to know the children receiving educational assistance and their families. This moment was very meaningful because there was warm personal interaction, full of smiles and mutual respect between donors and beneficiaries.
During the question and answer session, the donors attentively asked the children various questions, ranging from the conditions of their schools and their favourite subjects to their dreams for the future. The children answered innocently and honestly, showing a high enthusiasm for learning despite their modest backgrounds.
In addition to discussing school activities, the donors also asked about the children’s activities outside of school hours. The children enthusiastically talked about their activities at home, in their neighbourhoods, and the various coaching and mentoring programs they participated in at the XSProject Foundation. These stories further strengthened the emotional bond between the donors and the children.
Parents were also given the opportunity to share their stories and experiences. They expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the educational assistance they had received, as it greatly helped ease the burden of school fees and gave them new hope for their children’s future.
The atmosphere of the event became even warmer when donors and children engaged in casual conversation and lighthearted interaction. There was no distance between the givers and recipients of aid, only a sense of togetherness, caring, and a shared desire to grow and support one another.
At the end of the event, all participants took part in a group photo session as a memento of this meaningful gathering. Children, parents, donors, foundation administrators, and volunteers came together in a spirit of togetherness, capturing a moment filled with compassion and love.
The event concluded with the distribution of school supplies and a shared lunch at the XSProject Foundation. A relaxed and warm atmosphere filled the room as everyone enjoyed the meal while chatting and laughing together. This visit is hoped to mark the beginning of a lasting relationship between the Jakarta Mums Bubs Coffee Club and the XSProject Foundation, as well as a source of inspiration for the children to continue learning and strive for a brighter future.
